Copper Table Tops

Copper is a popular choice for hand-hammered table tops due to its malleability and ability to develop a rich patina over time. Other metals, such as brass or aluminum, may also be used.

Hand hammering copper requires a high level of skill and craftsmanship. Artisans use various hammering techniques to achieve different textures and patterns on the metal surface. Copper table tops are decorative dress boards above table bases. They make home warm and welcoming for both residents and guests. The tops are essential to complement the table bases since it will be the focus of the gathering of the family and guests. The tops are used as a base to serve food, drinks, book keeping or art display.

We hand make the table tops by wrapping the copper sheet around a strong plywood base. This keeps the copper’s shape stable and sturdy. The plywood is surrounded by the copper on the top and sides of the table top. The copper tops surfaces can be satin or textured. We apply variety of finishes such as polishing, fire burning, verdigris or natural original raw copper. Sizes of the tops range from small trivet without table base to large dinning room or conference tables.
